Hello, My husband and I adopted Louie from Adopt a Cat right around Jan/Feb .'05. We saw him in the window of Pet Supplies Plus. We were immediately drawn to him because he looked so much like our Max who disappeared around nine years of age in 1995. We had never before had such an affectionate cat as Max. We rescued Max from death row at Animal Regulation on the day he was to be euthanized. He was a cat that we will never forget so when we saw our Louie in the window the first thing we said was how much he looked like Max.

We went in, inquired, and as soon as my husband picked him up he started purring and we just fell in love with him. He is even more affectionate that our beloved Max, constantly wanting to be held and be near us especially my husband. He does seem to prefer men and I think it's because of that initial contact with my husband.

My name is Donna McDonald, I adopted 3 brothers, I wanted to adopt 2 cats at most.

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed at first, since I have 2 large dogs and wasn't sure how the meeting would play out. As you can see from the photo, everyone seems to feel right at home. So far it seems to be working.

I think if people just give it a chance they would see how much joy and fun they can have with a cat or two.
